SUSTAN BA is a magnesium oxide based basifying agent.

pH (10%) 9.0 - 9.5

SUSTAN BA has a strong complexing action with basic chrome sulfate, so basifying action even at very low dosage.
Unlike sodium bicarbonate, SUSTAN BA does not give an erratic pH jump after feeding, helping gradual pH rise and gradual basification.
SUSTAN BA is not recommended at high dosages as it may result in overbasification.
SUSTAN BA is used as mild deliming with buffering in nature, so it has less impact on grain while removing lime.
